Carmen Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) has always dreamed of one thing - to be noticed by his older brother, charismatic and stubborn Michael (Jon Bernthal). As is typical for a young rebel, Carmi waved it off, hastily left his native Chicago, and became one of the best chefs in the USA. Returning home, Berzatto decided to set up a burger joint - he bought new equipment, tamed his unruly colleagues, and began to train them in the ways of haute cuisine. However, every day turns into a nightmare for Berzatto - the electricity goes out in the establishment, his stubborn cousin Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) starts sabotaging his innovations, health inspectors find violations and threaten closure. It seems that all it takes is one unlucky day for Carmi to have a nervous breakdown and complete failure. But every morning, Berzatto finds a new reason not to burn down his late brother's restaurant, which he still hasn't found the strength to forgive himself for.
