After his mother's death, 17-year-old Joshua Cody moves to his relatives in a beach town in Southern California. Family affairs are run by Joshua's grandmother, Janine Cody. Her main assistant is the eldest of the Cody brothers, Pope. The other sons also help their mother as much as they can. Soon Joshua realizes that the family business is connected to crime, and that now he has unwittingly become a part of this new and deadly world for him.
