Lisa Armstrong is a police detective with an unusual specialization. She does things that most other officers don't encounter - she holds the hands of relatives during body identification, supports them at press conferences and in court, and learns more about the victim's life than their closest people. When Armstrong is assigned to investigate the case of missing teenagers, at first it seems like a normal assignment. She is trained not to emotionally get involved, but in this case, everything is different. Lisa realizes with horror that she has a personal connection to the affected family, and this could jeopardize the entire investigation...
