Two best friends from Jamaica, Ezekiah and Alec, found themselves in the midst of the bright and cruel events of the post-industrial revolution in London's East End. Finding themselves in the criminal world of the thriving boxing scene, one of the heroes, Ezekiah, meets Mary Carr, the leader of the notorious London gang called "Forty Elephants". This group consists exclusively of female representatives who "fight for survival on the streets of the city".
