Hendrix is a newcomer to the office of the CIA's chief legal counsel in Langley, Virginia. He is eager to please his boss, Walter Niland, and becomes an easy target for his more experienced but cunning colleagues, agents Violet and agents Lester. Burdened with the heavy task of reading through a stack of "crazy" mail, which is 90% empty messages from the public about conspiracy theories, Hendrix eventually uncovers a letter from a female inmate from Phoenix, Arizona, which appears to be quite credible. She wants to be released or threatens to reveal secret information she knows.
